After a long wait, during which the Pandemic came, my editor died of breast cancer, Innana Publications
the company that was going to publish my book collapsed, I transferred everything to Friesenpress because I thought I could get the book out faster than if I searched out a new publisher. Then I had a serious illness that lasted almost a year so I couldn't do my part of the self-publication work, so here we are. The book is ready. It's in the queue to be printed. We are planning the online launch and looking for ways to set up presentations in the fall. This book is my baby long over due. It shares so much of what I've learned over my life. I hold it out to you! Take it, read it. I hope you love the characters who, not literally but imaginatively have inhabited my life, based on my understanding of the real lives of people I have met along the way. Justice seems now to me a forever goal. There was so much hope then many steps back. In those moments of grace, like when this story is set, we have visions of hope, and those hopes give impetus and courage and deep caring to us all for those more difficult times ahead.
