Welcome to my author’s website. I write about women facing challenges in a world that neglects to respect or affirm them.
In Magnificat: Under the Guanacaste Tree, a woman escapes from a mental health home to travel by bus, pickup and on foot to the Central American country where her diplomat husband keeps her eleven-year-old daughter, while campesinos and campesinas in that country struggle to find peace in a war-torn country. In Getting a Life, a young woman struggles to come to terms with her parents’ deaths in the civil war in El Salvador. In Soaring with Amelia, young Hannah struggles to understand the impact of the Second World War on her Uncle Andrew, her mother, her sister, and including the woman who has looked after her all her life—Jasmine. In Seasons of the Feminine Divine, I offer prayers in which the Divine is named or described in feminine symbols for devotional use.
